AS9100 Revision D — Aerospace Quality Management Systems · issued by IAQG / SAE
What it certifies
ISO 9001:2015 plus aerospace-specific requirements: configuration management, part traceability, counterfeit-part prevention, first-article inspection, risk management and product safety.
Why a buyer should care
The default entry ticket for the aerospace and defence supply chain. Most primes will not place flight-hardware work with a shop that does not hold it, because it is the evidence that the process which made part number one is the same process that will make part five hundred.
Typically required for
Any flight hardware, structural parts, harnesses, machined components and assemblies.
These are claims published by the suppliers themselves. We have not seen the certificates. Always ask for a current certificate and its scope before placing work.
